     How are you all doing it has been a minute since i have been back to talk to you all. Today i wanted to talk about one of the biggest months for the world of college basketball. It is March where all teams in college worry about the most. Brackets have started and we have already have had some bracket busters happen and it has only been the first round of the tournament. One game that really stood out to me that started trending all over twitter was when Kentucky basketball loss to Saint Peters college. This is a big moment in college basketball because Kentucky has one of the best traditions for basketball. it was a shock to the world to see such a highly talked about team go down. This is a shock because you have a mid major school such as Saint Peters and they beat one of the "top" teams in the country. this has been the second year in a row where Kentucky was projected by analysis to either win the tournament or possibly being in the final four.  Hello Everyone,     This week I want to talk about social media and how I use my different media profiles to project who I really am. When looking at the social media that I use such as Instagram, Twitter, and tik tok I use all of these differently when posting. when I am on Instagram I like to be seen as a kind of influencer because I am an athlete I feel as if sometimes kids that come to our basketball games view my profile and I want to show what it could take to be where i am. I feel i use Instagram to be an influencer because I can reach so many accounts and also meet other influencers around college basketball. it helps build a base where most athletes tend to be using their social media to build fans and their names. but being an influencer online can have some downfalls to it when trying to make an impression on people. one downfall I feel is really important people can not tell who you really are through Instagram it is not the same because face to face interact...

Welcome back everyone,       this past week I did a very interesting experiment on myself to see what habits i had in social media, which apps I use most and why I was getting on those apps. It was interesting because when recording the data it was amazing to see all I really did on my phone and that was look at Instagram, tik tok,  and Twitter really.  This amazes me because I do not have much free time outside of practicing and traveling for basketball that all in my free time I spend entertaining myself with this type of media. Instagram is one of my favorite forms of media because it is a great way to connect with friends and see what they are doing in their lives. two it is also a great way for me to get my up-to-date media. Hello Everyone,  this week in class we have experienced many people coming in teaching different forms of social media and what social media is. One was when Dr. Yunkang Yang was teaching us about which social media is actually the most popular now and how social media is related to our affordance. Affordance is basically what is more for your liking. for example, I have Instagram and Twitter I prefer to use Instagram more because it is what I am on more and where I connect with friends. I also get my sports news there and regular news because it is where i am looking at most of the time 

 Hello Everyone,     I am Jalen Benjamin and I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am a junior at Mount Saint Mary's University. Here at Mount Saint Mary's, I am majoring in Communications management. All my life I grew up playing the sport I loved and that was the game of basketball. Playing basketball has taken me across the country and continuing my passion I ended up getting a scholarship to play college basketball here at the Mount.
